Founded in 2019, 9 Square Garden Architecture was born out of the desire to organize spatial concepts and structure with landscaping and garden elements. We are dedicated to solving the problems of the built and natural environment. In doing so, 9 Square Garden Architecture aims to aid the homeowner community by providing design services for all things built in an outdoor environment.

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Donald’s love and ultimate obsession with the creative process and for architecture started at an early age. Froebel blocks formed a passion for assemblage of parts and a profound understanding of proportions and systems.
In 1985, Don graduated with an architectural design degree from the University of Florida. Three years later, he earned his master’s degree in architecture with a specialization in historic preservation from the same institution. His knowledge of historic structures and period detailing served him well his role as project designer and Vice President of Smith Architectural Group Inc., whom he was with since its inception in 1989 until 2019. His talent and ability to work in many styles and genres led to numerous awards for the firm.
